We are recruiting a Senior Engineer to support with the construction of new road and drainage works.

We are looking for a candidate with experience of working within the highways/road construction sector and exposure to working on local government or National highways projects.

The contractor is a tier one business that also self-deliver works and have a number of up and coming schemes on a local authority framework.

This position will start anytime within the next 2 weeks and can be paid on a CIS basis.

Duties include:

• Checking ITP’s and temporary works procedures prior to construction
• Checking Risk assessment and method statements are in place for works
• Ensuring permits in place to break ground and all CAT Scanning requirements met
• Carrying out engineering checks of sub-contractors work using total station
• Dealing with technical queries and keeping all quality records
