Scrub Nurse / ODP - Exeter - Up to £45k - Full Time - Top Ophthalmology Clinic
Join a dynamic team at a Prestigious Ophthalmology Clinic as a Scrub Nurse/ODP and contribute to the delivery of safe and compassionate ophthalmic services. Work alongside a multidisciplinary team of dedicated professionals, including ophthalmologists, ophthalmic nurses, optometrists, and healthcare assistants. Scrub Nurse/ ODP Responsibilities:
·Perform pre-operative assessments, vision testing, and visual field testing.
·Utilize auto-refractors and ophthalmic imaging devices to support patient care.
·Maintain and update patient health records and files in compliance with Medical Eye Clinic policies.
·Participate in the assessment of patient care needs and ensure agreed standards of care are met.
·Adhere to NMC Codes of Practice and follow Medical Eye Clinic policies and procedures.
·Provide mentoring and support to qualified and unqualified staff.
·Contribute to infection control measures in the theatre.
·Stay updated with the latest clinical knowledge and skills relevant to ophthalmology.
·Assist with information administration functions and service delivery improvement.
Scrub Nurse/ ODP Requirements:
·Registered HCA Scrub Nurse or Registered Scrub Nurse or Registered Ophthalmic ODP.
·Desirable: Relevant clinical/theatre experience.
·Desirable: Knowledge and experience of ophthalmology and ophthalmic surgical procedures.
Scrub Nurse/ ODP Benefits:
·Pension scheme.
·Sick pay (10 days per 12-month period).
