Purpose of the Job

The Junior Finance Assistant will support the Finance Team in carrying out day to day administrative duties ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.  The individual will work closely with the internal finance team and will be required to manage and complete a varied range of responsibilities by deadlines imposed.  

This is an entry level role which offers learning and development in all areas of accounts and full study support.

Main Responsibilities/Duties of the Job

  • Responsibility for daily cash booking posting and daily reconciliations to all bank statements ensuring any unallocated postings are required are queried and cleared by the end of each month. 
  • Post monthly standing orders and liaise with customers should mandates not be updated following price renewals.
  • Collate and process cheques received from customers and deposit them at the bank/post office bi-monthly.
  • Assist the Finance Team with the sales ledger invoice postings.
  • Assist the Credit Controller with debt collection and chasing payment for overdue invoices.
  • Daily management of the finance mailbox and resolution of incoming queries.

Requirements - 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy.
  • Finance experience preferable but not essential as full training will be provided.
