Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of mechanical systems. The Mechanical Fitter will work closely with other team members to ensure all machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standards, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installation and Assembly:

  • Assemble mechanical components and systems based on technical drawings and specifications.
  • Install and align machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems in industrial settings.

• Maintenance and Repair:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Replace or repair defective parts, using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.

• Testing and Inspection:

  • Conduct tests on mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety standards.
  • Inspect completed work to verify conformance to specifications and standards.

• Troubleshooting:

  • Identify and resolve mechanical problems quickly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues.

• Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used and time spent.
  • Prepare detailed reports on equipment performance and maintenance activities.

• Safety and Compliance:

  • Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Comply with relevant health and safety regulations, standards, and company policies.
