Geography Teacher Responsibilities:

  • Engage and Innovate: Plan and deliver captivating Geography lessons that spark students' interest and promote active learning.
  • Inclusive Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive classroom where all students feel valued and supported.
  • Monitor Progress: Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to help them reach their full potential.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with colleagues to ensure a comprehensive and coherent Geography curriculum that is continuously improving.
  • Participate: Actively engage in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching practice.

Geography Teacher Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): A must-have for this role.
  • Experience: Proven experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
  • Classroom Management: Strong skills in creating a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • DBS Check: Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service.
  • Commitment: A dedication to fostering student achievement and well-being.
