Our prestigious manufacturing client based near Bursledon are looking to recruit a Surface Mount Supervisor to join their growing organisation.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Operations Director, primary role responsibilities will be to oversee the smooth and effective operation of the SMT manufacturing in accordance with the Quality Management System (QMS). A key aspect of the role will be to demonstrate strong team leadership and to help foster staff development.

Responsibilities: 

• Delivering the daily manufacturing plans effectively to the SMT team, ensuring everyone is aligned and understands their responsibilities.
• Provide guidance, instruction, and leadership to team members.
• Structure work processes and allocate resources efficiently.
• Support the Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assembly line/equipment, including programming, maintenance, equipment/software troubleshooting, and debugging of new and existing production assembly programs.
• Perform failure analysis and root cause analysis of defects and field returns.
• Conduct inspections, corrective and preventive actions, and other quality assurance-related assignments to ensure that the SMT line produces high-quality products.
• Ensure all safety procedures are followed.
• Facilitate ongoing training and development programs to enhance team skills and performance.
• Monitor and manage workflow to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.

Skills and Experience Required: 

• 3 years of relevant SMT experience.
• Good understanding of IPC 610 standards.
• PC literate

Salary/Hours/Benefits: 

• £30,000 - £40,000
• 37.5 hours a week across Monday to Thursday
• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
