Job Description:

Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Girls PE Teacher to join our team and work in a vibrant and supportive school located in North Leeds. This is an exciting full-time opportunity starting in September 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching PE: Deliver high-quality PE lessons across various key stages, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Curriculum Development: Plan, prepare, and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum and the school's requirements.
  • Student Engagement: Inspire and motivate students to develop a lifelong love for physical activity and sports.
  • Assessment and Reporting: Monitor student progress, provide constructive feedback, and maintain accurate records.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Lead and support extracurricular sports activities and competitions.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Hold a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE) with QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting is desirable.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment: Passionate about physical education and committed to promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among students.
  • Flexibility: Willing to engage in extracurricular activities and support the broader school community.
