Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

We have an incredibly exciting opportunity for someone to join us as a Business Administration Apprentice based at our Broomhouse Lane site in Edlington.

The role will provide administrative support to the business teams as required to organise and work efficiently and proactively with the Senior Leadership team, whilst working alongside the HR team. 

Working alongside experienced administrators to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced office environment. The role holder will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team while also learning and developing your skills in business administration. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate and complete projects set.

  • Create and update documentation utilising internal systems.

  • Calendar management.

  • Monitoring of internal schedules ensuring all documentation is completed on time and paperwork filed and received accordingly

  • General office duties including filing, scanning and cover on reception.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee training, including attendance, completion, and certification for mandatory, regulatory, and professional development requirements,

  •  Coordinate the planning and delivery of training programs, including logistics, catering, and materials,

  • Support the maintenance of the Learning platform, ensuring seamless user experience and effective learning program delivery

  • Complete new starter process.

  • Advise colleagues on HR policy or where to find information.

  • Support with the coordination of inductions.

  • Ensure that all end of probation interviews are carried out, paperwork is completed and records update.

  • To accurately record and up-date information on personnel record files.

  • To assist with the recruitment of staff using the candidate management system, ensuring that the process is followed accurately, interviews are arranged and offers processed.

Skills and requirements:

  • Have a good understanding of basic computer skills and be willing to learn new software applications. 

  • Able to work effectively in a team environment. 

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, processes, and technologies

  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion in role.

  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the duration of the apprenticeship

  • Must be willing to learn and take direction.
