What does the job entail?
To have the lead role in managing the operation of our Street Foyer and the Mendip West
area in providing lively, engaging and quality accommodation and support services
for young people.
To lead the staff team in the Street and Mendip West area providing the
accommodation and support service.
To lead on development of services within the Street and Mendip West area for young
people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
To lead on creating and maintaining a unified and collaborative relationship with the
local community in Street and Mendip West.
What skills will the successful candidate need?
The Accommodation and Support Manager, will be accountable to the Director of Housing, Senior Accommodation & Support Manager, and ultimately to the Board of Management of YMCA Mendip and South Somerset.
You will have an extensive knowledge of issues affecting housing and support and young people. You will actively understand and ensure adherence to organisation policy and procedures at all times. You will act as a role model demonstrating a professional and appropriate demeanour at all times for staff, service users and external partners. You will convey a positive approach that promotes a positive image of the YMCA Mendip and South Somerset both internally and externally.

Location
Street Foyer, Street
However, the service covers the Mendip and South Somerset areas and you will be expected to travel as required.
A valid driving license and access to your own vehicle is required for this role.
Hours
37.5 hours per week- 9am-5pm Monday to Friday
(You may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends as required).

This role is subject to clear enhanced DBS including child barring section.
