VNA Recruitment are currently recruiting for an HGV 1 Driver for our client in Bury St Edmunds.

Are you an experienced HGV 1 Driver with a passion for the open road? Do you thrive in the calm of night-time driving? Our client is a well-established logistics company, renowned for their excellent service and commitment to their staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a double decker trailer, ensuring the secure transport of goods
• Conduct overnight deliveries to various locations, adhering to scheduled routes and times
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal performance
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including log books and delivery notes
• Ensure compliance with all road traffic regulations and company policies
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to resolve any issues that may arise during deliveries
• Load and unload goods as required, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage

Requirements:

• Valid HGV 1 (C+E) licence
• CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
• Digital tachograph card
• Proven experience driving double decker trailers preferred
• Strong understanding of UK road networks and traffic laws
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Good physical condition, capable of handling loading and unloading tasks
• Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional weekends
