Works Delivery Manager

£50,000 - £55,000/annum

The Works Delivery Manager will oversee the implementation of reactive framework projects within our rail infrastructure division. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of works delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

· Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource requirements.

· Coordinate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.

· Ensure alignment of project activities with overall business objectives and client expectations.

Resource Management:

· Allocate resources effectively to meet project requirements, including labour, materials, and equipment.

· Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely availability of resources.

· Monitor resource utilisation and adjust allocations as needed to optimize project performance.

· Concurrently manage and co-ordinate multiple teams and locations

Risk Management:

· Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.

· Implement robust safety measures to ensure the well-being of workers and the public.

· Proactively address issues and escalate concerns to senior management as necessary.

Quality Assurance:

· Establish quality standards and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality workmanship.

· Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with quality requirements.

· Implement corrective actions to address non-conformities and improve performance.

Stakeholder Communication:

· Maintain regular communication with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.

· Facilitate meetings and workshops to foster collaboration and resolve issues in a timely manner

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in project management within the rail or transportation industry, with a focus on reactive framework projects.

· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.

· Sound understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and environmental considerations relevant to rail infrastructure projects.

· Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and MS Office Suite.

Professional certifications in project management (e.g., APM PMP, PRINCE2) are desirable.
