Mechanical Design Engineer
Job Description
- Perform 2D & 3D product design using CAD, adhering to all relevant internal procedures and ISO accredited processes.
- Conduct VAVE (Value Analysis/Value Engineering) exercises on current product lines.
- Maintain product lines using applicable engineering change procedures.
- Monitor relevant standards to stay updated on any changes.
- Liaise and consult with internal departments and outside suppliers.
- Manage projects and time effectively.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in reading and obtaining information from British Standard and/or IEC documentation.
- Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant tools, ideally Autodesk Inventor and Vault.
- Experience in the development of electrical products, ideally.
- Willingness to work within and communicate with an international team.
- Interest in sustainability, EVs, and the Circular Economy.
