Job title: Hygiene Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Hygiene Manager to join our team at our food production facility in Bantry. As a Hygiene Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, safeguarding food safety and product quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate a team of cleaning staff to ensure the efficient and effective daily cleaning of the production facility.
• Develop, implement, and monitor cleaning schedules and protocols, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Conduct regular inspections to verify cleaning standards are met and identify areas for improvement.
• Maintain accurate cleaning records and participate in stock control of cleaning materials.
• Train and mentor cleaning staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and company policies.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the cleaning team.
• Report any hygiene or safety concerns to the Technical & Quality Manager promptly.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a hygiene or sanitation role, preferably within a food production environment.
• Strong understanding of cleaning principles and best practices for food safety.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• The ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a team.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to high standards.
• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

Additional Notes:

• Must have a valid driver's license and own transportation.
• Hours of work: 5pm/6pm – 2am/3am (flexibility required).
