This £multi-million business is well established with a strong history of steady growth across a number of sectors, with plans and client relationships in place to ensure continued expansion. With a significant, framework-based, workstream in the North East, with security for a minimum of five years, the pipeline of work means the regional business needs to create positions for new staff to join the current team. 

Role
A Senior Quantity Surveyor role has opened within the regional North East business unit. This position carries autonomy to cost-plan work that is negotiated with the client, then to run projects commercially through the operational phases to final account, to include conduct of typical duties relating to project budgeting, valuations and compensation events. Projects will vary in size and value, and will be completed through a mix of subcontractor appointment and self delivery. Mentoring junior members of the team will form part of the responsibilities in the longer term, as the business continues to grow.  

This is an office based position with some flexibility to adjust hours/location when required.

Experience Required
The ideal candidate for this role will be eager to demonstrate commercial skills in a senior capacity, able to run projects without supervision. The ability to work closely with the clients' team, enhancing the business relationship whilst ensuring commercial effectiveness, is essential. Technical experience must come from the water or utilities sectors, or be closely related.

Remuneration
Basic salary up to £75,000 plus company car/allowance and a range of other benefits.
