A reputable manufacturer of bespoke lighting systems looking to expand its current team by hiring a mechanical engineer. Based in Oxfordshire, you'll be responsible for the design and development of new and existing products of high-quality lighting systems. On top of a salary up to £40,000 you will also have the opportunity to grow and develop your engineering skills.

As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for:

• Development of whole products as well as mechanisms and sub-assemblies.
• Performing tolerance analysis to ensure high quality robust design of bespoke mechanical systems and components using tools such as FMEA.
• End-to-end project management of multiple projects from concept through to manufacture.
• Rapid prototyping, metal fabrication, CNC and engineering drawings.
• Work with external manufacturing partners and other suppliers.

This Mechanical Engineer vacancies requires:

• Proven experience as a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer.
• Qualifications to at least degree level (PhD, MSc, MEng, BEng or BSc) in Product Design, Mechanical Engineering, Product or Innovation Engineering.
• Experience in bespoke manufacture, working to regulated standards and product design.
• Proven experience in rapid prototyping, metal fabrication, CNC and engineering drawings with GD&T.
• High level of proficiency in 3D CAD.
