Shift: 4 on / 4 off
Hours: 6am -6pm
Location: Geary’s Bakeries Ltd | Unit D | Optimus Way | Glenfield | Leicester | LE3 8JR

The Role
Our Engineering Supervisors at Geary’s are the best thing since sliced bread – quite literally! You’re responsible for managing and developing your team of Shift Engineers, whilst being a main focul point for all strategic engineering initiatives, PPM and real time reactive maintenance engineering. Your main responsibilities include:

Co-ordination of all Engineering activity, including external contractors
- Maintaining effective Engineering systems (including CMMS, PMs, handovers etc)
- Project management of Engineering-led Capex improvements
- Effective documentation and record keeping, including inductions, Return to Work interviews, work permits etc
- Ordering required parts, tools etc in adherence with Engineering budget
- Ownership of Engineering training and development, including 121s and performance appraisals
- Effectively communicating with departments in wider business
- Taking an active role in audits and high-profile visits

About You

Champion of Health and Safety, with experience in managing this
- Good knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
- Logical and methodical approach to problem solving
- Results driven, resilient and self-motivated
- Good project management skills and an ability to manage multiple deadlines and interactions
- Strong people management and leadership skills
- Great communication skills, ability to build relationships and engage with stakeholders
- High level of attention to detail
- IT skills (ability to use full Office package, including Excel)
- Experience in leading and supporting a team of people (no matter how big or small)
- Flexible approach to working hours
