Office, Fleet and Workshop Manager / Administrator

Our client, a very successful recycling company are looking to recruit a workshop and office manager / administrator. This will be an important role serving two parts of the business

  • Firstly, the office team, co-ordinating various tasks such as HR admin, payroll admin, managing fuel cards and credit cards for the team of drivers and ordering office supplies.
  • Secondly, they maintain their own workshop to manage their fleet of c35 vans and trucks and serve 3rd party customers. This role will manage the ordering of parts, invoicing, keeping MOT and vehicle inspection records up to date and managing the admin with DVSA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make daily orders of motor parts from various suppliers
  • Process supplier invoices for approval.
  • Invoice 3rd party motor work that has been carried out.
  • File and maintain HGV inspection reports and MOT certificates.
  • Order and maintain credit cards and fuel cards for new joiners and leavers.
  • To pull together payroll submissions based on working time from various staff and departments.
  • Order office stationery.
  • Take care of ad-hoc office admin requests.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be IT literate with a good understanding of MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication skills and a good phone manner.
  • Highly organised and able to keep on top of various timetables of vehicle inspection and repair.
  • Honest and trustworthy.
  • Good time-keeping.
  • Flexible.
  • Previous experience of working in a motor workshop environment an advantage.
  • Attention to detail is critical for this role.
