Inside Construction have been appointed to recruit a Managing Quantity Surveyor for a growing, civils contractor who provide civils projects for the residential and commercial built environment. The role

Reporting into the Commercial Manager the main purpose of the role is to be manage a team of 6 surveyors from junior QS to senior QS. You will oversee approximately 15 projects, focusing on around 7/8 per month. You won’t be responsible for running your own project, this will be done by the surveyors in your team.  Projects range from 50k – 15m and are a range of civils works such as plot works and drainage.  You will be responsible for the overall financial delivery of the projects, offering commercial expertise to your team for the full project life cycle.

The person

This opportunity would suit an experienced surveyor who has excellent leadership skills. You will be accountable for the team and want to push the team forward to contribute to the company’s success. Strong commercial and personal influencing skills are essential for the role. Experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor or Senior Surveyor looking to step up would be considered. Our client looks for excellent cost management and reporting skills. You will be overseeing multiple projects so it's important you can absorb complex information and manage your time accordingly.
