About the Role:

In this hands-on role, you'll play a vital role in keeping commercial vehicles on the road. You'll work on a variety of tasks, from repairs and maintenance to building and customizing new vehicles. Responsibilities:

• Maintain and repair a wide range of commercial vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and buses.
• Build and customize new commercial vehicles according to specifications.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and bodywork problems.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
• Replace and repair components such as engines, brakes, suspensions, and electrical systems.
• Work with various materials, including steel, aluminum, timber, and fiberglass.
• Ensure all work meets strict safety regulations and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues to complete projects on time and within budget.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a skilled or semi-skilled Commercial Vehicle Builder/Fitter/Repairer (a plus for experience in specific areas like bodywork or mechanical repair).
• Strong understanding of mechanical and bodywork principles.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong eye for detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driving license is preferred but not essential.
