HGV Driver

Location: Lutterworth, LE17 4AF
Salary: £14.67 per hour basic and £22.03 Nights and weekends
Contract: Permanent, Full time
Hours: 40 hours guaranteed + Overtime

We are Saferoad VRS and we are recruiting. 

We are a leading supplier and installer of Vehicle Restraint Systems including Safety Barrier and Parapet Systems; we are also one of the market leaders installing Environmental Barrier (Acoustic) and General Fencing, working nationwide on secured contracts.

HGV Driver – The Role:

We are now recruiting for an HGV Driver to deliver plant and materials to and from site and assist with erection of Safety Barrier and Environmental barrier as required.

Duties will include:

• Complying with all safety measures while adhering to the safe systems of work.
• Carrying out works to the correct specification as per company policies.
• Identifying the correct material and distributing this on to site or stockpile.
• Ensuring that all company vehicles and plant are properly inspected.
• Ensuring valid certification is present for lifting slings and pre-use checks are carried out.
• Following all reasonable instructions given from the site manager, lead erector or installer.
• Follow the company’s driving policy and not exceeding driver hours.

HGV Driver – The Candidate:

• HGV Class C Licence (Minimum) + drivers qualification card.
• A valid and up to date Tachograph card.
• HIAB (preferable but not essential).
• Clear and concise written and communication skills.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Ability to work with Minimal Supervision and on your own initiative.
• A confident self-starter as well as a team player.
• Available to work flexibly including nights and weekends where required.
