An experienced Design Co-ordinator/Design Manager needed to join an growing residential contractor. Delivering exceptional city-based residential schemes valued around £30 million across London. They boast an exciting pipeline of projects over the next 5 years. Role spans 2 projects across London
Responsibilities:
  • Work to produce and manage the design programme and Information Required Schedule
  • Review all design deliverables, including specialist supplier elements and interfaces to establish that they are within budget are fully coordinated and are buildable
  • Coordinate project team comments, and resolve any design-related construction queries with the design team
  • A desire to constantly learn, improve and share knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrating management qualities to encourage effective design team and construction team co-ordination and collaborative working to meet the Project goals
  • Understanding the project requirements including Client briefs & business processes, and Employer Requirements
  • Assisting in the mitigation of design risks as part of the team
  • Take part in design co-ordination and design progress meetings with the design team and sub-contractors and ensure that design risk assessments are produced.
  • Support in the production of the Contractors' Proposals.

Desired Design Managermust meet the following requirements:
  • HNC in Building Studies, Degree in Design Management or Architecture.
  • Previous experience in the residential sector with an architectural consultancy or main contractor.
