Senior Design Engineer job vacancy in the R&D product innovation electromechanical design engineering team.  The company design and manufacture world leading industrial appliances.  The Design Engineer is part of a cradle to grave product design team.  As a Senior Design Engineer you’ll be involved with R&D innovation, creating electrical and mechanical engineering ideas for product design, CAD detailing and documentation, and helping to take ideas through feasibility, DFMEA and detailing electro mechanical in CAD Solidworks. 

Negotiable Salary £45,000 guideline, 8% employer pension contribution, 25 days off (+BHols) & company-wide bonus often worth around 5%.

The ideal background and skills required are based around the following engineering design hard skills coupled with the soft skills of design innovation, team working and proactive mindset.

• Engineering degree, HND or Level 4 Engineering Apprenticeship
• Design engineering 3D CAD drawing skills; creating & updating electromechanical engineering 3D CAD models and technical drawings.  Solidworks ideally, but any engineering 3D CAD package is fine.
• Eye for detail and ability to complete designs & documentation on time as part of a team project.
