£35,000 - £40,000/annum

Manufacturing Engineer, £40K, DOE, 39 hours a week, flexible working hours, 1pm finish on a Friday, Life Assurance, private medical care, company bonus, permanent position.

Location of the Manufacturing Engineer position: Dewsbury

The manufacturing Engineer position is working with an established globally recognized business that have be trading for over 40 years. The company has grown significantly within the last 3 years and with this company growth they are looking to recruit an experience or graduate engineer with the focus of reviewing, designing and implementing production processes within the business.
The role would be supporting the manufacturing process, creating build documentation set, resolving issues whilst maintaining product integrity and influencing cost.

Key duties of the Manufacturing Engineer position:-

*Developing and maintaining production processes and procedures.
* Implement process improvement activities to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
* Support new product introduction, ensuring effective collaboration between Engineering & Production.
* Gather relevant production data throughout the New Product Development process.
*Maintain production process documentation.
*Design and implement tools or equipment to improve the production process.
*Design and implement production flow lines, factory floorplans and modular workstations.
*Facilitate Engineering changes, generate engineering documentation and support the Engineering change process.
*Contribute to the Design for Manufacture process.

Key requirements for the Manufacturing Engineer position:

  • HNC or HND or Degree in mechanical engineering or similar with experience in a bespoke fabrication & assembly environment
  • The ability to generate clear production assembly work instructions.
  • Experience of developing production flow lines
  • Experience and knowledge of industrial engineering or project engineering.
  • General knowledge in areas of root cause corrective action, lean and project planning.


Experience in Mechanical CAD programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Creo or similar packages
