The Recpool Group are working with a market leading payroll specialist, who, due to significant success have expanded their operation into Liverpool city center and are looking employ an experienced full time Payroll Administrator to be part of a new team working from their newly opened offices in Liverpool.

Operating as a key component within the business by providing Payroll Administration support to contractor and limited company workers within the UK recruitment sector, this rare but exciting opportunity would be suited to someone who has a settled payroll history or is in the process of working towards a accounts or financial qualification with the relevant employment experience, but has a hunger to take it to the next step in being part of a growing business.

The role itself is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the business payroll to its clients along with any payroll related administrative functions with the key responsibilities being but not limited to –

  • Manage the daily activities of the payroll support
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of new client setups and data updates
  • Understanding of agency payroll to accurately process the payroll by the correct payment method
  • Process agency imports in accordance with correct payment dates and terms
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation
  • Quickly resolve any payroll queries across areas like PAYE, tax, and compliance
  • Basic book keeping and accounting tasks
  • Input all timesheets received from the agency in time for the daily payroll run
  • Ensuring all invoices in the sales ledger are paid by the agency in accordance with their terms
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll queries to the customer service team
  • Ensure that confidentiality and security of payroll information is maintained
  • Reconciliation of supplier statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.

Experience required for the role:

  • Previous full cycle UK payroll process experience
  • Competent in all aspects of Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Invoice management with accuracy
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Have recently worked in a similar role within the last two years

  • Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
