Structures Project Manager required with a background to shell & core

We are working alongside a successful London based building main contractor, with a turnover last year in the region of £150m. They have recently won 2 new schemes in Central London and are keen to recruit a talented Project Manager. The contractor specialise in the luxury residential market, working predominately on refurbishment and new build schemes  up to £50 in value. The refurbishment schemes tend to be basement excavations / structural alternations and very high end finishes. Our client's business model is extremely well managed, with a reputation for producing a quality project on time and budget, which results in a large amount of repeat business.

The role

Project Manager will contribute at the highest level with regards to responsibility for delivery of the project safely, on time and to the client’s satisfaction. The Project Manager will ensure that during the project all aspects of safety, environmental, quality, technical and commercial management issues are implemented and maintained. The Site Project will create an excellent team environment for the project in order to develop and retain staff.

Requirements

Our client is looking for someone that can communicate well (good client skills), experienced at managing subcontractors, as well as maximising and getting the best out of the site team. The Project Manager will have a background and be extremely competent at bringing in a project to time, quality and budget. Other pre requisites are:

  • Main or sub contracting background within the London market
  • Experience of heavy structural refurbishment schemes, including temporary works, waterproofing, steel and RC structures
  • Capable of programming the project
  • Strong management and communication skills
  • Commercially and technically competent
  • Strong appreciation for health and safety, procedures and programme.
  • Comfortable with managing meetings and dealing with the client and their representatives.
