Post Cast Production Manager

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a Sheffield-based foundry to recruit a Post Cast Production Manager.
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 + bonus + profit shares
Hours: Monday – Thursday 6am – 3pm, Friday 6am – 12pm
The foundry carries out roughly 1000 castings per month, and the Post Cast Production Manager will be responsible for managing post-cast production activity which includes Heat treatment, NDT, fettling and inspection.
Duties of the Post Cast Production Manager include:
- Effectively plan and manage all aspects of post cast processing
- Work alongside the Production Controller to manage monthly production, ensuring production targets are met
- Ensures a safe and efficient working environment
- Assist with workflow prioritisation
- Ensure KPIS are met including Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People
We are looking for experienced Post Cast Production Managers with the below skills:
- Experience of foundries, ideally welding, fettling, NDT of castings finishing process
- Knowledge of machining, ideally experienced in the machining of castings
- Experience leading teams in a busy fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of steel casting production processes
