Stock Control Operative £12ph Crediton, Devon

Stock Control Operatives required for temp-to-perm assignments at a busy manufacturing and distribution facility based in Crediton, Devon. Successful applicants will have previous experience working within stock and waste control, and must have a full UK Driving Licence and a valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence.
Main Accountabilities:
- Issue material to all areas as per the production schedule - Pick material from the list and issue to relevant work orders. Move material to the machine
- Take delivery and receipt of all incoming purchase orders. Store raw materials in the correct locations. Move all subcon work to the next operation. Quality check incoming material.
- General store management - Stock takes
- Metal waste management across both sites - Check all swarf skips & empty ones that are full. Highlight any mixed skips. Tip away all drained coolant. Organise metal waste collections
- Oil management: Stock control of all open coolant barrels at both sites. Replace empty barrels and write off new stock used.
- Drive to local subcon companies. Drop off and collect parts
- Saw management e.g. remove scrap metal & Swarf & top up coolant
- Continuous improvement across all areas
- Strip and return special and normal tools to tool stores
- Tool jobs as per the production schedule
- General Pre tooling tasks.
Working hours:
- 08:00-17:00 Mon-Thu
- 08:00-14:00 Fridays
Pay rates:
- £12ph PAYE
- Weekly pay
