About the Role
Are you a skilled Painter and Decorator with extensive commercial experience? Join the Building and Refurbishment Group at UKAEA and contribute to maintaining the visual appeal of our prestigious Culham Campus. This role is crucial in supporting civil and refurbishment projects, ensuring our facilities remain in top condition.

Key Responsibilities
Fittings Management: Remove fittings and refix after decoration to ensure a seamless finish.
Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting, including infilling holes, sanding, and priming.
Painting and Finishing: Apply paint and other finishes to interior, exterior surfaces, and woodwork according to specifications.
Equipment Maintenance: Ensure proper storage and maintenance of painting equipment and supplies.
Material Selection: Choose appropriate materials to achieve desired results.
Work Area Management: Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
Team Collaboration: Work with teams to coordinate painting projects and minimize disruptions to stakeholders.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to UKAEA and statutory safety guidelines and regulations while performing painting and decorating tasks.
Weekend Work: Availability for occasional weekend work.
Experience
Extensive commercial experience in painting and decorating is essential.
Health & Safety Risks
Office Environment: Perform DSE self-assessment and area risk assessment.
Other Working Environments: Complete local area induction and area risk assessment.
Task-Specific Risks: Follow local area controls according to the location on-site and task-specific risk assessments, such as construction sites.
