We are currently looking for a Site Reliability Engineer for our client based in Cork. The ideal candidate will be already based in Cork, be interested in a hybrid work model and have experience with AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable infrastructure using AWS services.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployments and infrastructure provisioning.
- Monitor and manage system performance, availability, and capacity.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery and high availability solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement robust and scalable architectures.
- Conduct root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
- Develop and maintain documentation for incident response and operational procedures.
- Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of our systems and data.
- Automate routine tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience in a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or similar role.
- Strong expertise in AWS
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM Templates.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Solid scripting skills (Python, Shell, PowerShell) for automation and tooling.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, etc.).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, and firewalls.
