SEMH Teacher

Cover People are currently recruiting for a full time, SEMH Teacher in an SEN Alternative Provision in Oldham. The role will start in ASAP.

The Role

Are you a passionate Teacher with experience in Social Emotional and Mental Health issues? The School are looking for a Teacher who is confident to adapt to any situation and who is knowledgeable enough to support reluctant learners with behavioural needs.

The candidate must have:

• 6 months experience working with children
• Experience and knowledge of supporting children with SEN and complex needs
• Excellent behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Confidence to adapt to any situation
• DBS on update register
• References for last 2 years work history
• Up to date CV

The School

The school offers an alternative setting for learners who struggle in mainstream and offers a bespoke personalised package for students requiring a smaller academic setting which is supportive and nurturing, but which will also challenge and push them to achieve their potential.

Students can study for GCSEs or alternative qualifications delivered by experienced teachers who are adept at delivering their subjects in a condensed fashion, which ensure that all the key assessment objectives are delivered in the short time that they may have with a student.
