Salary/Rate:
£40,000 - £45,000/annum pro rata

This is a great opportunity to join a successful family run business near Cookham.

You will be responsible for looking after all areas of finance for this small business, including payroll (team of 7) accounts receivable/payable, invoicing, bank reconciliations as well as general PA/HR duties for the Company Director.

Working hours: 20- 25 hours per week, office based, flexible on days/hours.

Salary £40,000 - £45,000 pro rata depending on experience.

Duties:

  • Manage payroll covering PAYE, SMP, SSP etc. in accordance with current legislation so that workers receive their salaries and expenses.
  • Manage the administration of auto-enrolment pension scheme
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Processing and paying invoices
  • Processing bank transfer requests
  • Submitting an checking tax returns, VAT returns and NI contributions
  • Provide financial reporting
  • Check for debtor’s and send statements
  • Process bank payments.
  • Manage all Insurances & Energy Renewals
  • Facilities management – managing stock, office supplies
  • Some HR duties, Administration of staff records and inputting into the database
  • Updating Company Policies & Procedures
  • PA duties associated to the M.D (very limited and minor)

Skills Required

  • Excellent financial skills, proven experience in a finance role including payroll experience, bank reconciliations and reporting
  • A high level of numeracy
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Adept in the use of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and Outlook, as well as the ability to adapt to use Sage or similar accounting software.
  • The ability to work to procedures and guidelines, working systematically with accuracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to take responsibility for actions and make decisions (where appropriate)
  • The ability to build rapport and establish supportive relationships with colleagues
  • Driver with own vehicle
