Quantity Surveyor (Junior/Mid/Senior Level)

Responsibilities: Junior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Assist senior surveyors in preparing cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
  • Support tender preparation, analysis, and contract documentation.
  • Measure and evaluate on-site work, maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in assessing variations and contract claims.

Mid-Level Quantity Surveyor:

  • Independently manage cost estimates, budgets, and tender processes.
  • Measure and value on-site work, preparing progress reports.
  • Handle contract administration, including payment certificates and variations.
  • Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and project teams for seamless project execution.

Senior Quantity Surveyor:

  • Oversee comprehensive cost management and procurement for projects.
  • Lead tender processes, analysing and negotiating contracts.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Mentor junior surveyors, fostering their professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Relevant degree in quantity surveying, construction economics, or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Junior Level: Entry-level position with internship or initial quantity surveying experience.
    • Mid-Level: Several years of independent project management in quantity surveying.
    • Senior Level: Extensive leadership experience in quantity surveying, with significant project responsibilities.

Skills:

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in construction contracts, procurement methods, and cost management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Effective team player with the capability to work independently.
