One of our cleints, who is a small Sheffield based Telecoms and IT support company  are currently looking to build a dedicated sales position to support the company’s vision for growth.

The initial role will be a mixture of home-based working and will require the candidate to plan and deliver a sales strategy to increase growth and create an ongoing pipeline of new clients into the business.

This role will also offer the potential candidate an opportunity to grow the role of sales into a team and future management position within the business

  1. Responsibilities:
  • Sell Telecommunications and IT Support products and services to both individuals and companies.
  • Promote sales for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and IT Support solutions for corporate technology and communication systems.
  • Build market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and evaluate their requirements
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities through methods like cold calling, networking, and leveraging social media platforms.
  • Set up meetings with potential clients to understand their needs and concerns.
  • Deliver appropriate presentations on IT products and services.
  • Gather feedback from customers and prospects to improve offerings.
  • Negotiate and close deals with clients.
  • Ensure the availability of stock for sales and demonstrations.
  • Participate in exhibitions or conferences on behalf of the company.
  • Provide regular reports to supervisors and the board of directors, including sales data, feedback, and potential issues.

  1. Skills and Qualifications:
  • Sales experience: At least 5 years background in sales, ideally in a B2B (business-to-business) telecom and IT industries.
  • Technical knowledge: Understanding of telecommunications products and IT Support services.
  • Negotiation skills: Ability to close deals and build long-term relationships with clients.
  • Market awareness: Keeping track of competitors’ activities and emerging markets.
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing sale strategy, which clearly defines specific, measurable, and realistic sales targets. These goals should align with the organisation’s overall mission.
