Role Overview:

  • To manage the day-to-day operation of projects and have overall responsibility including client satisfaction and involvement.
  • Controlling all elements of the contracts including people management, project delivery, procurement, sub-contractors, supply chain, design, cost control, client liaison, health and safety.
  • Negotiating with external and clients ensuring the client’s expectations are met.
  • Manage relationships with existing clients and develop new relationships, understand and implement design briefs with ability to meet client requirements.

Duties & responsibilities:

  • Ensure project target dates and the critical path are maintained.
  • Effectively monitor and control workflows and staff resources.
  • Provide professional expertise and assist the commercial team in building tender documents for existing and new works.
  • Proactively generate new works from existing contracts.
  • Accurate record keeping, ensuring additional works are requested in a timely manner and agreed with client.
  • Ensuring subcontract works are carried out in accordance with quotations/ specifications & site-based prelims are kept to a minimum.
  • Management of sub-contractors to maximise contract performance against KPI’s, minimising default notices and penalties, ensuring high levels of customer service.
  • Regular liaison with the tenants, leaseholders, contractor partners, client and agents of the client to ensure clarity and consistency of communications and the speedy resolution of issues thus ensuring a strong and professional working partnership.
  • Developing programme of works to ensure deadlines are identified.
  • Timely production of accurate progress reports.
  • Monitor all expenses generated by the projects in the operation of the contracts.
  • Carry out pre and post work measurements.
  • Provide specification and installation guidance to both clients and leaseholders.

  • Experience of working in partnership with a Local Authority Client, with management experience in a similar operation.

Experience:

  • 3 years practical experience delivering bathroom replacement contracts.
  • Experience managing & carrying out bathroom replacement and medical adaptation contracts.
  • People management and technical experience.
  • Understanding required targets and empathetic approach to client base.
  • Supply chain management and large project delivery.
  • Previous history driving programmes and achieving targets.
  • Experience working with computerised systems.
  • Willingness to travel around Scotland.

Qualifications:

  • Microsoft packages essential.
  • SMSTS 5-day course
  • Valid First Aider
  • Asbestos Awareness Course
  • Scaffold Inspection Certificate (sits) CISRS
  • Enhanced Disclosure Check
  • UK Driving License
