Sue Ross Recruitment are working with a global homeware business in the recruitment of a Warehouse Manager.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, and with line management of c6 Pickers, Packers, and Forklift Operators. You will be responsible for organising and managing the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse goods and the day-to-day management of the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage warehouse in compliance with company’s health & safety policies and hygiene standards. 
  • Carry out the selection and recruitment of suitable employees to carry out the daily duties in accordance with the businesses policies. 
  • Overseas receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations. 
  • Effectively manage stock to ensure minimal/zero damage or loss. 
  • Ensure efficient space utilisation. 
  • Plan work rotas, assign tasks appropriately and appraise results. 
  • Recruit, select, induct, coach, and motivate employees.
  • Strategically manage warehouse in compliance with company’s health & safety policies and vision.
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations. 
  • Contribute to the design and layout and ensure efficient space utilisation.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements. 
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security 
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with Orderwise operating software. 
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies. 
  • Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc.) 
  • Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided. 

Experience/Qualifications

  • 5 years minimum experience in Warehouse Supervision and/or Management
  • Qualified or Studying for Level 5 in Management Studies (or equivalent)
  • Excellent Computer Skills in Word/Excel and a good working knowledge of Orderwise systems advantageous
