Gap Personnel (operating as an employment business) are currently recruiting for our client in Telford for a Part Time Cleaner within a production environment setting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is looking for part time work on an ongoing basis

Hours of work:

Part Time - 2 days per week

Week1: Thursday, 7am - 3:30pm & Friday, 7am - 1:30pm

Week 2: Thursday 11:30am - 8pm & Friday 11:30am - 6pm

Pay

£12 per hour

Description and key responsibilities as a part time cleaner:

• Duties will include cleaning toilets, kitchens, office & operational facilities, hoovering, dusting, mopping, cleaning internal windows etc.
• Ensure all designated areas of the site are cleaned to the highest standard.
• Working in a timely manner to maximize efficiency.
• Compliance (at all times) with cleaning guidelines, schedules, policies and with our statutory obligations under H&S, COSHH and BRC.
• Maintain accurate and up to date cleaning records.
• Follow cleaning schedules but to also use own initiative when an area that requires attention is identified.
• Ensure you report to maintenance, any concerns or damaged facilities.
• Respond positively and efficiently to requests for immediate assistance for cleaning operations throughout the site.
• Comply with existing Cleaning Instruction cards and SOP’s.
• Monitor supplies of consumables, replenish where necessary and advise the manager when stock levels need increasing.
• Ensure that adequate supplies of consumables are available across the site, e.g. toilet rolls, soap, paper towels etc.
• Effectively communicate to Manager/Shift Operations Leader/SHE Advisor regarding any issues or concerns over any hygiene issues.

Qualifications and skills required as an part time cleaner

• Attention to detail.
• Good communication skills.
• Confident and motivated individual.
• Able to work as part of a team as well as on your own.
• The ability to work quickly and methodically.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, and equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• An awareness of Health & Safety.
• A willingness to work flexibly.
• Willing to take any training required for this role.
• Possess high standards of cleanliness
• Previous hygiene experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of BRC food standard.
• Educated to GCSE English or equivalent.
• Basic Food Hygiene level 2, Basic Health and Safety, Manual Handling (although training will be provided in these areas).
