Service Manager

Hales Group are seeking a Service Manager to join our client on a permanent basis in Lowestoft.
37 hours per week
Salary: £25,000-£35,000
Our client provides high quality social care support for people with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs across Suffolk and beyond in the home and in the community. They are a leading social enterprise that is highly regarded by their customers for providing social care support with a difference.
You will be required to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and will lead the team to deliver the exceptional service the customers deserve. You will work closely with the Director of Operations and other Service Managers to enable them to do this.
Accountabilities:
- To manage the workplace in line with standards, polices, procedures and legislation
- Contribute to new staff inductions, providing support alongside the Team Leader
- Work closely with HR to manage any conduct and capability issues
- Identify and plan training needs, working closely with the Learning & Development team to improve service development and respond to guests support needs
- Lead and implement new methods of practice and support Team Leaders with mentoring of teams to promote and encourage good practice, team engagement and staff morale.
- Oversee the implementation of strategies and approaches that are appropriate and effective for the guests. within the services
- Promote the company aims and vision throughout all aspects of practice
- Be the CQC registered manager
- Liaise with all stakeholders and build positive working relationships (families, partner organisations, local authorities, advocates etc.) to ensure individuals receive the service they require
- Management experience at a senior level
- Proven effective leadership skills and experience, or formal qualification in leadership
- RQF Level 5 Award in Social Care (or equivalent qualification)
- Good practical knowledge of relevant human resource, health and safety and social care legislation
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Presentation, analysis and report-writing skills
- IT literate, use of Microsoft Teams, Excel
- Proven experience in delivering results and effective decision making
- Ability to travel to different locations within the service (Suffolk)
