The Opportunity
Due to projects expanding, an exciting opportunity has become available for a senior Process Engineer to join our dynamic team working on Nuclear Power Engineering & Technical Solutions, providing engineering and technical solutions across the full nuclear lifecycle up to decommissioning. You will be involved in new reactor technologies coming to market, work with the UK's most compelling engineering and technical solutions provider across all reactor types to contribute to the world’s global climate change challenge.

The role
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will support work on Advanced Nuclear Reactor projects, including Small Modular Reactors. These reactor programmes will develop modular reactor designs that are expected to become a key part of the UK’s energy supply in the future. By applying innovative techniques, modular construction, and advanced manufacturing methods, you will help drive down the cost of electricity generation from nuclear power. You will be responsible for process design development, hazard identification studies, and technical assurance of design reports.

Positions are available in Stockton and Knutsford offices, with options for Warrington and Gloucester as well. Hybrid working arrangements between the office and home are supported based on project commitments.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
  • Lead process design development and hazard identification studies.
  • Provide technical assurance of design reports.
  • Oversee modular reactor design projects, ensuring innovative techniques are applied.
  • Manage project deliverables to meet deadlines and high-quality standards.
  • Develop business process workstreams and engage in business development activities.
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success.
You will have the following qualifications & experience
  • Degree qualified and chartered engineer.
  • Proven track record of leading process-based projects to meet deadlines and high-quality standards.
  • Demonstrable design and review experience in a highly regulated environment.
  • Experience in business development and growing process workstreams.
  • Extensive stakeholder management skills.
  • Capability to mentor and develop junior engineers.
  • Excellent collaborative, innovative, problem-solving, and communication skills.
