We have an exciting new opportunity for a dedicated and capable individual to join our client’s Executive Team as the Head for People.  Our client, a registered Healthcare charity, who provide critical services to those in need are looking for someone who is dedicated to fostering an environment of Excellence and is passionate about making a significant impact. The role offers hybrid working with 2 days working remotely and 3 days working with the team at their offices in Staffordshire.  In line with the charity’s approach to flexible working the role is offered with the option of full time (37.5 hours) or part time (from 22.5 hours)

As the Head for People, you will be instrumental in driving the strategic direction of the People function. You will lead on critical HR initiatives, advise on complex HR issues, and spearhead the development of an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing workforce. You will report directly to the board of Trustees and assume the executive lead for projects within your scope of managerial responsibility.

As a key member of the Executive team you will contribute to strategic decisions, advising on complex HR issues in addition to:

Committee Leadership: Lead the People and Support Services Committee, ensuring alignment with the organizational goals and values.

DEI Leadership: Champion our equality, diversity, and inclusivity agenda, ensuring that these principles are embedded in all aspects of our operations.

Workforce Engagement: Develop and implement strategies to foster an engaged and motivated workforce.

Talent Management: Oversee talent management programs including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, leadership development, and succession planning.

Process Improvement: Drive initiatives to improve HR processes and practices, ensuring they are streamlined and effective.

Change and Transformation: Lead change and transformation projects to enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

Volunteer Program Development: Expand and improve volunteer uptake, creating opportunities for meaningful engagement and contribution.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in a senior HR role with a strong track record of leadership and strategic impact.
  • CIPD qualified
  • Extensive knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in leading DEI initiatives and improving volunteer engagement is highly desirable.
  • Ability to think creatively and drive innovative HR solutions.
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating a positive, inclusive work environment.

The role is offered with a salary of £55,000 with the opportunity for professional development and growth. 25 days holiday + Bank holidays, 7% pension, death in service benefit, access to healthcare cash plan, free access to Doctor line, employee assistance programme, flexible working hours.
