White Label recruitment are delighted to support a key client based in the North Yorkshire area on basis in their hunt for a Design Engineer.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with an award-winning design team to refine and develop their current and future product range.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Design Engineer is primarily responsible for the creation of 3D designs products.
The successful candidate must have experience with the use of 3D software (Ideally Autodesk Inventor but open) Radan and Bysoft. Although training will be provided, a strong knowledge of product manufacturing, particularly sheet metal, will beneficial. You must also be enthusiastic, confident and able to work within a team.
Job Role:
- Working as part of the design team to produce high-quality drawings that meet current engineering refinements and future product requirements.
- Refining current range of machines, which includes salt spreaders, tippers, hotboxes and multi-purpose bodies, all designed and built at onsite.
- Developing our future product range.
- Focusing on the continuous improvement, monitoring and maintenance of designs to ensure customer expectations are exceeded.
- Liaising with both the manufacturing team and our suppliers to ensure the optimal specification of components.
The Person:
- Min 1 year experience working as a Design Engineer or similar role
- Experience in using SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD packages such as Autodesk Inventor, Solidedge, etc.
- Proven ability in developing excellent product design
- Effective capture and use of past, present and product design data for development of sales/design function
Salary & Benefits:
- £25,000 - £45,000
- 20 Days Holidays + BH – Holiday Allowance increases to 25 days after 2 years of service
