Our client is seeking a Complaint Handler to join their dynamic team in Coventry. As a Complaint Handler, you will be responsible for assessing and investigating complaints brought to the service by consumers and financial service providers. You will have the opportunity to make fair and balanced decisions and help resolve complex disputes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and investigate complaints, gaining a thorough understanding of both sides of the dispute
  • Ask thoughtful questions and communicate effectively to quickly identify the core issues
  • Provide clear and persuasive communication to clients, demonstrating empathy and fairness
  • Make sound decisions and recommend appropriate actions to resolve complaints
  • Prioritise and progress your case load in a timely manner, considering individual targets and service standards
  • Identify and support vulnerable consumers, providing appropriate assistance
  • Develop your skills and knowledge through continuous learning and improvement

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to make fair and balanced decisions, articulating your reasoning
  • Strong administrative skills with the autonomy to prioritise workload effectively
  • Experience providing excellent customer service, even in challenging situations
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
  • Track record of meeting targets or service level agreements
  • Understanding of financial products (desirable)
