Job Title: System/Project Engineer

Pay Range: £30,000 - £55,500 + Bonus & Benefits

Omega is excited to be supporting this technically driven, infrastructure solutions provider. With 30+ years of expertise to offer, they offer engineering and high integrity controls systems, from small upgrades to fully integrated turnkey solutions, covering all aspects of technology from control rooms to field devices, with well recognised clients mainly within Intelligent Transport Systems, such as Heathrow, TfL, Highways Agency, and more.

They are looking for top System Engineers, or Project Engineers, to work on a wide range of exciting projects within ITS, where projects range from 12 – 18 months in length, covering the full lifecycle and offering full end-to-end solutions, from requirements through to commissioning.

Please note, this role does require travel to clients within the commission phase, and due to the work, some of this work is carried out overnight. All travel is expensed.

Key Responsibilities – Project Engineer

• Hold technical responsibility for projects, including design, development, and testing on control systems – only applicable to Senior roles
• Responsible for the day-to-day coordination and technical management of Project engineers, driving teams to project delivery – only applicable to Senior roles
• Program a variety of PLCs using Ladder Logic, Function Block or Statement List methods
• Program and configure SCADA software packages and user interface mimic design
• Competency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, SQL, VB and VBA – desirable
• Perform FAT and site commissioning on client sites
• Work closely with 3rd party clients, ensuring successful delivery and satisfaction

What We Want From You – Project Engineer

• Proven experience working within a similar role, within Project, Control, or System Engineering
• Degree/HND in Control, Electrical, Electronic, or Software Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of PLC programming, and SCADA, on a large scale
• Full end-to-end project experience, from Design through to Delivery/Commission, including test and development  
• Knowledge of C, C#, C++, or SQL desirable
