Job title: Planning Enforcement Officer

Pay rate: £15.17 an hour, weekly pay

Location: Barnsley

Contract: 6 months, Monday- Friday

Job description:

  • As Planning Enforcement Officer you will play an important operational role in the enforcement of planning regulations and policy and ensuring delivery of an efficient and effective enforcement function.

  • The role involves receiving, investigating, and preparing reports with recommendations on allegations of breaches of planning control, and undertaking systematic and periodic reviews of approvals to monitor compliance and identify unauthorised developments.

Relevant experience:

  • Extensive Planning Enforcement Experience including preparing and serving notices and appearing at court
  • Extensive experience in the application of relevant legislation, policies and guidance relative to projects and work areas identified
  • Relevant Level 4 qualification
  • Experience of contributing to policy/procedure formulation.
