Appointed person required. My client is a leading provider of crane hire based in the North West and they are currently looking for an experienced appointed person to cover the North West of England and occasionally go further afield. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years' experience in a similar role and the relevant qualifications. The candidate must be within a commutable distance of Widnes.
This role requires a manual driving licence
Appointed Person Position Overview
- Write detailed lift plans, including risk assessments and method statements, to ensure safe lifting operations.
- Work alongside site management, crane operators, riggers, and other relevant personnel to schedule and execute lifting operations & plans
- Ensure all lifting operations are planned and conducted in accordance with legal and company requirements.
- Regular site inspections to ensure lifting equipment is in good working condition and properly maintained.
- Ensure all lifting operations comply with health and safety regulations
- Monitor lifting activities to ensure adherence to the lift plan and method statements
- To work across sites in the North West of England and occasionally stay away
Appointed Person Position Requirements
- 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Relevant certifications such as CPCS A61 or equivalent
- Ability to lead and manage personal effectively
- Within a commutable distance of the North West of England
- Competent in producing CAD drawings
- Computer literate
- Flexibility to stay away occasionally
Appointed Person Position Remuneration
- £50,000-£55,000 basic salary dependant on experience
- 28 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
- Company vehicle provided
- Overtime available
- Pension
