Engineering Team Leader

Location: Devon
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 4 PM
Salary: Up to £50,000 basic plus company benefits

Role Overview

As the Engineering Team Leader, you will oversee the maintenance team, ensuring operational excellence and equipment reliability. You’ll leverage your technical expertise to solve complex problems and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
• Maintenance Management: Plan and oversee preventive and reactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Project Coordination: Lead engineering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
• Safety Compliance: Develop and implement safety procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Technical Problem-Solving: Provide hands-on support for diagnostics and troubleshooting of complex machinery issues.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience: Proven background in electrical/mechanical engineering within a fast-paced environment.
• Qualifications: City and Guilds part 1,2 &3, NVQ level 3, Latest Electrical Regulations (18th Edition)
• Leadership: Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
• Technical Expertise: Proficient in fault-finding, PLCs, and maintenance management systems.
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging at all organizational levels.
• Adaptability: Flexible and responsive to changing production demands.
