A leading global manufacturing organisation is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to join their team on a permanent basis in Harrow. The company is offering a competitive salary of £65,000.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of the supply chain, including inventory management, operational planning, logistics coordination, and supply chain forecasting.

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess managerial experience within the supply chain sector, with a background in manufacturing operations.

Role responsibilities of the Supply Chain Manager include:

  • Supply Chain Management

Develop and execute strategies to manage the internal and external flow of materials through the supply chain, ensuring seamless coordination and effective logistics management.

  • Third-Party Relationship Management

Manage relationships with third-party suppliers, logistics providers, and other stakeholders to negotiate and optimise costs, quality, and service levels.

  • Forecasting and Inventory Management

Collaborate with SIOP management and purchasing teams to develop accurate forecasts, ensure effective sharing of information, and optimise inventory levels to meet high customer satisfaction standards.

  • Process Development and Maintenance

Establish and maintain processes to support capacity planning, material requirements planning forecasting, and stock management, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Team Management

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the stores, despatch, and production teams, providing guidance, support, and leadership to ensure smooth operations and high levels of performance.

Person Specification of the Supply Chain Manager:

  • Proven track record of managing comprehensive end-to-end supply chain operations
  • Strong understanding of international shipping regulations, including INCO terms, to ensure compliance with global trade standards.
  • Skilled in implementing Strategic Inventory Optimization Processes (SIOP) to optimize inventory levels, reduce costs, and improve service levels.
  • Proficient in MRP and ERP systems
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Proven experience in leading and managing cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives


Salary

Up to £65k

After probation offers up to two days a week working from home
