Our clients based in Farnborough have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Manager to join their growing team.

Production & RMA quality

Define and implement production and RMA workmanship standards and ensure consistent compliance with those standards.

Work with the production manager and Quality Engineers to ensure high quality training and standard operating procedures.

Measure and report in process and final inspection data and implement corrective action continuously reduce internal failure costs.

Supplier Quality

Work with the Purchasing Manager to manage the supplier approval process, ensuring supplier status on the ERP system is up to date at all times.

Monitor and measure supplier quality performance and work with the Purchasing Manager to implement corrective action to continuously reduce supplier failure costs.

Quality Management System

Ensure the company remains ISO9001 certified with zero non-conformities.

Organise and manage QMS and EMS internal audits and management reviews to pre -agreed timetables, ensuring all corrective actions are completed in the agreed timescales. Progressive development leading towards delivery of ISO14001.

Prepare and host six-monthly surveillance visits and re-certification visits.

Manage all QMS & EMS documentation.

Measure and report agreed quality and environmental objectives and targets.

Health & Safety

  • Ensure the Head of Operations is made aware of all current health and safety issues.
  • Ensure that all legal responsibilities are met, and health and safety legislation implementation.
  • Carry out, document and review health and safety risk assessments.
  • Document and review the arrangements for health and safety.
  • Ensure the accidents and incidents are investigated and, as far as is reasonably practicable adequate corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and report accident and near miss statistics
  • Delegate specific health and safety responsibilities
  • Ensure the safe systems of work are defined and understood by managers and supervisors

Customer Interface

  • Represent the company on any QHSE issues during customer visits.
  • Manage the customer complaint process.
  • Manage the customer satisfaction measurement process.

Team Management

  • Organise and manager dynamic teams to execute specific QHSE objectives as agreed with the manager.
  • Set daily targets for each member of the team.
  • Be a mentor to the team members, guiding and training in best practise QHSE techniques. .

Required skills & experience:

  • At least 3 years quality management experience in an SME Manufacturing environment
  • Internal Auditor – ISO9001:2015
  • Experience maintaining the QMS
  • Team management and leadership
