Permanent Site Manager required to deliver retail fitout in Berwick-upon-Tweed

Our client is an established regional contractor renowned for delivering high quality design and build construction projects across a variety of sectors including industrial, commercial and leisure up to c£10m.

They are currently overseeing the build of a new retail store for their long-standing client and are at the stage where they require a Site Manager to oversee the fit-out aspect of the project.

The project is located in Berwick-Upon-Tweed so will require a Manager who is happy to travel / stay away, this is a permanent position as my client has further projects in their pipeline.

Responsibilities;

  • Overall responsibility for the successful completion of the construction programme
  • Monitor delivery of the project, identifying risk and opportunities and working with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery
  • Lead the delivery of construction works, ensuring compliance with all company processes and protocols
  • Manage and develop the supervisory and engineering team
  • Ensure that HS&E targets and KPIs are set and managed
  • Work closely with the Commercial team to align targets and KPI's in line with budget forecast

Requirements;

  • Have at least 5 years management experience with a main contractor
  • Have a trades or engineering background with exposure to running projects independently
  • Be willing to work away / travel for projects
