We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Commissioning Manager to join our client, a market leader in the water industry. This dynamic position will focus on commissioning water treatment projects and pumping stations within the Thames Water framework, ensuring that projects are executed efficiently and meet all required standards.

As a key member of the commissioning team, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning phase of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and overseeing the commissioning process for water treatment projects and pumping stations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Coordinating with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders to define commissioning requirements and objectives.
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications to develop comprehensive commissioning strategies and schedules.
  • Conducting site inspections and testing to ensure systems and equipment are installed and functioning as designed.
  • Identifying and resolving any issues or discrepancies during the commissioning phase.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to the project team during commissioning and handover.
  • Ensuring all commissioning documentation is completed accurately and submitted on time.
  • Monitoring and ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Supporting the training and development of junior commissioning engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in commissioning water treatment projects and pumping stations.
  • Extensive knowledge of commissioning processes and methodologies.
  • Strong technical and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
  • Familiarity with relevant commissioning software and tools.
  • Working knowledge of CDM and construction Health & Safety regulations.
  • Previous experience in water and wastewater treatment plants and pumping stations.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in mentoring and developing junior engineers.
