Elevation recruitment group are delighted to be partnered with Global manufacturing organisation, with the search and selection of a Supply Chain & Logistics Director, for their Lincoln manufacturing operations and global S&OP ownership function. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Processes Optimisation
  • Lead ongoing reviews of business processes, developing and implementing optimisation strategies and business process improvements.
  • Develop and implement all necessary policies, procedures and systems to ensure Business objectives are achieved.
  • Liaise with cross-functional leads from Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales and Purchasing to ensure business unit level end-to-end processes are adequately mapped and consistent
  • Effectively communicate your insights and plans to cross-functional team members and management
  • Provide analytics support to sales, operations and supply chain in the UK to drive critical decisions which delivers profitable business growth
  • Lead a team of business analysts which reviews business and operational performances of our UK business and provides recommendations for optimization
  • Business partner to Sales leadership team to develop pricing strategy and LTAs with the key accounts
  • Ensure the Sales, Customer Service, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Supply Chain functions fully align to deliver a world class service to our Customers and to achieve the monthly revenue targets through accurate capacity and demand planning
  • Effectively manage direct and indirect suppliers to ensure a quality and delivery compliant supplier footprint at optimised cost
  • Lead the Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process, providing continued process development as required
  • Liaise closely with the Manufacturing Director and Sales Director, ensuring good communication and collaboration exists among all essential functions critical for delivering product right the first time, on time and in full, to our customers

Key Skills & Experience required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering discipline.  Demonstrate exceptional knowledge in Supply chain, Logistics and Customer Service with strong Analytical skills
  • Global experience of Supply Chain & Logistics Management, Manufacturing processes and Customer Service
  • Understand impact of decisions in a cross-functional manner
  • Strong Analytical skills and project management abilities
  • Able to demonstrate evidence of breaking the mould: moving organisations into new areas of process development and innovation
  • Working within organisations where continuous improvement, operational excellence and innovation is a core competence/culture
  • Business development and growth
  • Must have experience of innovative or best in class Supply Chain & Logistics Management
  • Experience of working with cross-functional project teams
  • Able to communicate at all levels
  • Commercially and financially aware
